        The Department of Aging & Adult Services (DAAS) coordinates services to seniors, adults with disabilities, and their families to maximize self-sufficiency, safety, health, and independence so that they can remain living in the community for as long as possible and maintain the highest quality of life.  DAAS is located at 1650 Mission Street, Suite 500, San Francisco, California 94103 and can be contacted at (415) 355-3555.

Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (HICAP) is a non-profit, volunteer-based program designated to assist Medicare beneficiaries with Medicare, Supplemental and Long-Term Care Insurance issues.  HICAP provides unbiased information. HICAP does not sell, endorse, or recommend any specific insurance product. HICAP services are free and include individual counseling and assistance as well as community education services. SF Paratransit, a service of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), provides van and taxi services to people with disabilities, unable to independently use public transit due to a disability or disabling health condition. 

SF Paratransit provides complementary paratransit services for the San Francisco Municipal Railway (Muni) in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); SF Access is the ADA-required complimentary service. 

SF Paratransit also provides premium paratransit services not required by the ADA: Paratransit Taxi, SFMTA Group Van, DAAS Group Van, DAAS Shopping Shuttle, and Shop-a-Round. Call (415) 351-7000 for more information.
